- Extreme climate. It will get very cold in winter from October. (It can be a pro if you prefer cold climates) Sometimes you’ll observe all the climatic conditions in a single day.
- Hostile environment. You will see strikes and protests frequently and they sometimes affect your academics and placements. You will see an anti-India sentiment among the locals.
- As most of the internships are in summer, you are at a loss here as the summer break in NIT Srinagar is at July and only around 20-25 days.
- Because of the connectivity and hostile conditions, some companies refuse to visit NIT Srinagar.
